I need a switch!
Yes, that is what I need.
For if I had a switch,
I could turn off my brain
and make it stop indeed.
My switch would keep my mind
from doing all these
"mental gymnastics".
The twirling and tumbling
of thoughts, ideas and concepts
vaulting uncontrollably towards a
new thought that keeps my brain twirling
and tumbling.
But, if I had a switch,
I'd turn my brain off for a while.
Hoping in the process,
that I would not forget
that I'd used my switch
and my brain was off.
I would hate to forget
to turn my brain back on.
Too much time spent alone,
with no switch,
leaves the current of thoughts
constantly on.
